Harold Clifton Hearne, Jr.

GASTONIA - Harold Clifton Hearne II, 44, passed away August 12, 1993 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 5, 1949 in Montgomery County, Va to the late Harold Clifton Sr. and Daphne Stocki Hearne. Harold was a graduate of Frank L. Ashley High School class of 1967, Brevard College, Gardner-Webb College and Southern School of Pharmacy of Atlanta. 

We worked for Cornwell Drugs in Morgantown, Davidson and Dallas for 15 years. He purchased Lowell Drug Store and was pharmacist and owner for the past two years. Harold was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gastonia. He was a den leader, member of Boy Scout Troop 11 Committee and a Red Cross Pheresis Donor. 

Survivors include his wife, Faye Lineberger Hearne; three sons, Charles Vincent, Frank Adam and Harold Clifton Hearne III of the home; his mother Daphne Stocki Hearne of Gastonia; two sisters, Janie Hearne Walker of Charlotte and Suzanne Hearne Creed of
Greensboro. 

The funeral will conducted by Drs. Larry D. Wilkerson, Bill Jeffries and James R. Westmoreland at 2:00PM Sunday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park. 

The family will receive friends from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at McLean and Son Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Harold was so much fun! He was a friend to everyone. He sat in front of me in study hall. It was my pleasure to get to know Harold. One of the kindest people I have ever known.

This was a tragic death that should have never happened!

Harold, you left this earth way too soon. Going through all our class mates that have left this earth, is really sad, but the good news is you and many others we will see when we all get to heaven.

Enjoy dancing around the throne of God, Friend.
