Sandra Darlene Hewitt (Barker)

GASTONIA - Sandra Darlene Hewitt Barker, 57, passed away on August 13, 2006. She was born October 27, 1948, \\\daughter of Samuel H. and Meta Illa James Hewitt of Gastonia. She was a graduate of Frank L. Ashley High School class of 1967. 

Sandra is survived by her husband, Marvin Alexander Barker Jr.and a son, Rusty Lee Barker.

Funeral is 11:00AM Wednesday at the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home; visitation is 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday. 

BURIAL: Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.

From grammar school on, you knew when Sandra was in close proximity.  A personality larger than life,no one can forget Sandra's rendition of  "Lipstick On Your Color"  for an assembly program.  She was a bright exciting life extinguished far too soon.

enlightenedSandra was an incredible friend to me and supportive of my twins tragedy in ways beyond belief. A heart full of love and those gorgeous legs! In the walking band. I will never forget her love.
