DURHAM - William McPhail Dawkins, 47, passed away February 15, 1996 in Durham, NC. He was born January 6, 1949 in Charlotte, NC, son of the late Lorenzo and Mary Howard Dawkins. He was a graduate of Frank L. Ashley High School class of 1967. He attended Gaston College. He served in Vietnam as a Aviation Technician 2 in the US Navy.

William is survived by his wife, Joyce Leona Rogers Dawkins, of Haw River, NC; one daughter, Stephanie Irene Dawkins, also of Haw River.
