CHESAPEAKE, VA - Roger Keith Justice, 57, passed away March 17, 2006, at Chesapeake General Hospital. He was born in Farmville, Va., Feb. 9, 1949, son of the late Edward and Ruth Bolin Justice. He grew up and graduated from Frank L. Ashley high school class of 1967, later moving back to Norfolk in 1971.
Roger's top priority was his family, spending much of his time with his grandchildren, hunting and fishing and in the mountains. He was the owner of New Dawn Builders and had a hand in the family business of High Street Pawn. He was an active and dedicated Mason, being a member of the Berkley Masonic Lodge No. 167, the Norfolk Scottish Rite, the Khedive Temple, the Chesapeake Shrine Club and served on the board of directors for the Izaac Walton League, Norfolk Chesapeake Chapter. His family and friends will always remember him as a kindhearted, loving man and will truly miss him forever.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 40 years, Lillie Justice; his mother, Ruth Justice; two sons, Daniel Justice and wife Sharon and Christopher Justice, all of Chesapeake; a daughter, Calista Dawn Fulcher and husband Robert of Portsmouth; two brothers, Ed Justice of Maryland and Henry Justice of Georgia; a sister, Kay Neal of North Carolina; and four grandchildren, Krystal and Thomas Justice and Sarah and Robert Fulcher.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norview Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Shrine Club.
