GASTONIA - Joyce Ann Ivie Morris, 67, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at her residence. A Gaston County native, she was born August 10, 1949, daughter of the late Charles Edward Ivie Sr. and Dorothy Ligon Galloway.
Joyce was a graduate of Frank L. Ashley High School class of 1967. Joyce was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Kelly Gilliam and husband, Scott; brother, Charles Edward Ivie; grandchildren, Maegan and Tyler Gilliam; and close friend, Cheryl Kayler.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Road. Gastonia.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia. Greene Funeral is serving the family.

I remember the first day Joyce transferred to our school. She was so petite and soft spoken, she reminded me of baby doll. She became a dear friend that year and our friendship grew over the years. Joyce will be missed by many. Prayers to her family.
