CHARLOTTE - Deborah Hortense Wright Wilkes, 47, passed away January 27, 1997 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. She was born December 25, 1949 in Gastonia, daughter of Clement and Ethel Mildred Nelson Wright. Deborah was a graduate of Frank L. Ashley high school class of 1967. Deborah attended Elon College.

Deborah is survived by her beloved husband, James Wilkes, Sr., also a graduate of Frank L. Ashley high school class of 1967, and a son, Pastor James Wilkes Jr. of Greensboro, NC.
