GASTONIA - Diane Benefield Jordan, 67, passed away Dec. 30, 2016, at Testa Hospice in Kings Mountain.She was born May 24, 1949, in Anniston, Ala., daughter of Katherine Crumbley Benefield, of Gastonia, and the late Amos Balious Benefield.
Diane was a graduate of Frank L. Ashley High School class of 1967. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was employed with Harris Teeter for almost 15 years.
Left to cherish her memories, in addition to her mother, are her loving husband of over 50½ years, Danny Jordan, of the home; son, Joe Jordan and fiancée Annette Costa, of Blacksburg, S.C.; daughter, Lori Evatt and husband Adam, of Gastonia; son, Josh Jordan and wife Erika, of Durham; daughter, LeAnn Medley and husband Brandon, of Gastonia; grandchildren, Luke Evatt, Sarah Medley, Jaxon Jordan, Lillian Jordan, and Paislee Medley; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pat and Coyt Matthews, Mike and Cathy Jordan, Susie and Grant Kester, Vivian Jordan, and Sandra Jordan, all of Gastonia, Peggy Jordan of Commerce, Ga., Bill Jordan, of Ellerbe, and Ann Jordan, of Ellerbe; numerous nieces and nephews.
Diane was also a mother to many others and was affectionately known as "Nana Diane."
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Bobby Meeks, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Interment will be in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

So hard to believe! Diane was such a good friend! The last time I saw her she was working at Harris Teeter on Neal Hawkins Rd. Late night shift at that.
So many of our friends are no longer here so sad!
