E. Gardner Mann

E. Gardner Mann, 75, of Greensboro passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Born on May 3, 1949, in Gastonia, NC she was the daughter of the late Leroy B. Mann and Emogene McDill Mann Reeves. Gardner graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical. She received her Board Certification in Pharmacy in 1975. During her career she worked as a pharmacist in various places in Greensboro and surround areas, but her last two places of employment was with Medipack and Revco.

Gardner married Rufus “Rus” McCarter on October 3, 1992, and they enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains and Hilton Head where they owned property. Gardner also enjoyed reading books in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Mann.

Gardner is survived by her husband, Rus McCarter; brother, Joseph E. Mann and wife Susan Shugerman; and numerous other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
