GASTONIA — James Steven "Jimmy" Kersey, 59, passed away July 24, 2007 in Gastonia. He was born on December 27, 1947 in Gastonia to the late George Washington and Carrie Lanier Kersey. 

He was a graduate of Frank L. Ashley High School class of 1967, a Vietnam veteran of the US Army and an employee of Freightliner, Inc.
