Teresa Arndt Carter
Teresa Arndt Carter, 75, a dedicated and talented individual, peacefully passed away on April 19, 2024, at Robin Johnson House in Dallas, North Carolina. She was born in Gaston County, North Carolina, on January 15, 1949.
Teresa was known for her exceptional career as she worked alongside Dr. M.E. Woody and was honored with the Thompson Dental Award for her outstanding contributions. Her passion for learning led her to graduate from Frank L Ashley High School in 1967. She further pursued her education at Gardner Webb before becoming a certified Dental Assistant through Central Piedmont Community College.
A woman of faith, Teresa cherished her relationship with her Lord and Savior. She found joy in studying the Bible with Reverend Jim Westmoreland and Reverend Justin Smith, along with Saxton Scarborough. One of her proudest accomplishments was singing in the Gaston Choral Society under the guidance of Mary McFarlane.
Teresa will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends, including her brother Jerry Arndt, Jr., his wife Laura, nieces Maria Clark (Terry), Emma Arndt, and Hannah Arndt, as well as many beloved cousins. She is now reunited in peace with her parents, Giles Jerry Arndt, Sr., Alice Virginia Plaster Arndt, and sister Alice Lee Arndt.
The visitation for Teresa Arndt Carter will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, Gunter Hall, 190 E. Franklin Blvd. in Gastonia. Following this, a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM with Reverend Melissa Lowe and Reverend Jim Pyatt officiating. The burial will then commence at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont with the Releasing of the Doves.
In honor of Teresa's life and legacy, may we remember her warmth, kindness, and dedication to both her work and faith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Gastonia, 190 E. Franklin Blvd.
