CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Miriam Avery Blair Booker, 52, died February 25, 2003 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born on March 12, 1949, daughter of the late Moses Amos and Velma Jones Blair.

She graduated from Frank L. Ashley High School class of 1967. She also graduated from Winston Salem State University. She is survived by her husband, LaVaughn of Charlotte, one daughter, OanJelete, and one son, Vaughn, both of Charlotte. She was predeceased by her sister, Kathynel Blair Robertson of Winston-Salem. 

The Homecoming celebration services for Miriam B. Booker will be held on March 7, 2003 at 1 PM at Statesville Avenue Presbyterian Church. The family thanks the devoted and caring staff of Carolina's Medical Center.
